Description:
Middle-early (FAO 290) four-way maize hybrid. The hybrid is developed in association with plant breeders from Voronezh experimental station of All-Union Research and Development Establishment and Agroindustrial Firm of Innovative Production OTBOR Ltd. Registered in National Registry of Selection Achievements Eligible for Usage in Central Region, Central Black Earth Region and Middle – Volgian Region.
Based on data received from variety test plots, seeds maturation average period in Central Black Earth and Middle – Volgian regions is 116 days. Forage maturation average period in Central, Central Black Earth, and Middle – Volgian regions is 96 days.
Plant height is 240-260 cm, non-tiller. Large, cylindric, low cone-shaped maize cob at height 65-70 cm, weight of cob is 130-160 g, length – 18-20 cm. Rodnik (Springlet)292 MV has yellow dent seeds, weight of 1000 seeds approximately equal 290-310g. Ear shank is in red or white color.
Hybrid is well resistant to basic plant and maize cob diseases. It is also well resistant to lodging of crops.
Recommended degree of density in case of seeds and forage sowing, on bogharic lands is 55 thousand of plants per hectare, on irrigated lands – 70 thousand of plants per hectare.
On the base of national crop variety testing results, the highest yield of corn seeds has been shown on the Oboyanskiy State Seed-Trial Ground in the Kursk Region – 89.5 hundred kilograms per hectare. In normalized dry substance the highest yield of corn seeds has been shown on the Maloyaroslavetskiy State Seed-Trial Ground in the Kaluga Region – 144 hundred kilograms per hectare.
On-the-farm test performed showed the following forage yield:
